A passion project spanning a decade,
from memoir to documentary to feature film

In 2014, my grandfather, Philip M. Goldstein, began sharing the stories of his experiences during WWII. Recognizing the importance of preserving them, I offered to help document his journey for future generations. We met one to two times a week for a few months, working closely together, and by 2015, we completed the memoir. That same year, we connected with Kim Bass, a visionary filmmaker who saw the potential in these untold stories. Now, nearly a decade later, we are in full production on a documentary and actively developing a feature film, bringing my grandfather’s incredible legacy to life on a larger scale.

Jewboy vs. the Luftwaffe is more than a documentary—it’s a powerful stand against forgetting. It uncovers the extraordinary, untold story of WWII fighter pilot ace Philip M. Goldstein, a Jewish soldier who defied unimaginable odds to fight for freedom, survival, and dignity during one of history’s darkest times.

Philip’s story is one of courage, resilience, and hope. Though he passed away in 2018, his voice endures through interviews and memories we were privileged to capture. Yet this project is bigger than one man’s story—it is a tribute to a generation that faced unimaginable adversity with extraordinary bravery, offering timeless lessons for us all.

Time is running out. Among the voices we seek to preserve are WWII veterans over 100 years old, whose firsthand accounts of resilience and survival are irreplaceable treasures. These rare perspectives illuminate the human spirit’s triumph over hate and will be lost forever if not preserved now.

In an era of rising antisemitism, these narratives are more than history—they are warnings, lessons, and inspirations for a better future. This is about ensuring their voices resonate long after they are gone, educating and inspiring generations to come.

What Your Support Will Achieve:

  • Capture and preserve rare interviews with WWII veterans before it’s too late.

  • Digitize archival footage and materials to bring history to life for modern audiences.

  • Produce a world-class documentary that educates, inspires, and confronts prejudice.

  • Create resources for schools, museums, and communities to foster understanding and empathy.

This project is about more than preserving the past—it’s about shaping the future. Imagine a world where these stories inspire classrooms, challenge prejudice, and remind us all of the strength in unity. With your help, we can make that vision a reality.

Why Now Matters:
The urgency couldn’t be greater. Every day, more voices from this pivotal era in history are lost. Supporting this project ensures their experiences are not forgotten but are preserved and shared as powerful tools for education and resilience.
